Princesses do ride – and explore retail therapy

Today the riding for the 2018 Princess Pedal Camp #1 began.  As always – everyone was a little nervous.  Some feeling a little uncertain that they were fit enough.  In the end – everyone was fine and fit enough.  At Princess Camp – we do what we can to keep everyone feeling comfortably uncomfortable.  Meaning – those that don’t like climbing or descending – or riding in a group – or in traffic – all get challenged just a little.  It’s a good thing, really.

We had a spectacular ride on the back roads of Summerland, stopping at a lovely spot for coffee and snacks (True Grain Bakery and Cafe), and enjoying the absolutely amazing vistas through the Summerland wine routes.  We practiced our road skills and pace lines and had a relatively uneventful – pleasant ride.  The sky was blue and the winds were light.  A rather perfect day.

After a nice ride, lunch and a well deserved shower – the gals engaged in a little retail therapy – helping to keep the Penticton economy going.  Just doin’ our part!
