Spills… and thrills.

As I sit here on the deck with the Princesses (Jane, Sandy, MC and Zenny), we are happily staring at our electronic devices, quiet but contented after our first day at Camp.  We had a wonderful time at the park today doing our skills and gaining some confidence.  Only one crash – so not at all a bad day.  Our maintenance clinic had us changing tires like an Indie pit crew.

The post lunch ride to Naramata was beautiful with the temperature about 27C.  Princess Jane, who has cycled in the Napa and Sonoma Valleys claimed that our views today topped those of our southern wine regions.  No contest.  Only one small hiccup with a disintegrating chain on one of the bikes requiring a phone call to our trusty house man, Gord.  Thankfully, he was able to rescue Princess MC and deliver her to our new favorite bike shop in Penticton – Freedom – The Bike Shop.  They expertly resolved the issue in pretty short order.  Friendly, helpful and happy staff.

The Princesses did very well today and although they are doing their best to keep their eyes open, they are each slowly retreating to “read” in their rooms.  Uh huh.

Adventures on the “wall” tomorrow.  We are destined for about 30C – so an early start following a hot breakfast prepared by our chef in residence – is in order.  I promise photos next entry – because I too am hitting the hay.
